How to connect mailbox in flowkon

Before sending email campaigns, you need to connect a mailbox to your Flowkon account. Once connected, Flowkon can send campaign emails using your mailbox and automatically detect replies to keep your campaign activity up to date.

Flowkon supports two methods for connecting your mailbox:

  • Outlook – Connect your Microsoft Outlook or Microsoft 365 account using secure Microsoft OAuth authentication.
  • SMTP – Connect Gmail, Google Workspace, Zoho Mail, cPanel email, or any mailbox provider that supports SMTP and IMAP.

Choose a Connection Method

When opening the Connect Your Email dialog, you'll be presented with two available connection methods.

Select Outlook if you're connecting a Microsoft Outlook or Microsoft 365 account. For all other supported email providers, select SMTP and enter your mailbox configuration manually.

The selected connection method determines how Flowkon authenticates your mailbox and retrieves campaign activity.

Connect Using Outlook

Select the Outlook tab to connect your Microsoft account using Microsoft OAuth.

Click Sign in with Outlook to begin the authentication process. You'll be redirected to Microsoft's secure sign-in page, where you'll be asked to sign in and grant Flowkon permission to access your mailbox.

After the authorization is complete, you'll be returned to Flowkon and your mailbox will be connected automatically.

Flowkon uses this connection to:

  • Send campaign emails from your Outlook mailbox.
  • Detect replies and update campaign activity.
  • Monitor email delivery status required for campaign reporting.

Flowkon only accesses your mailbox for campaign-related functionality and does not modify or delete your emails.

Connect Using SMTP

SMTP (Simple Mail Transfer Protocol) is the standard protocol used by email providers to send outgoing emails. If your mailbox provider supports SMTP, you can connect your mailbox manually by entering your email server settings.

For reply and bounce detection, Flowkon also supports IMAP, allowing the platform to monitor incoming campaign responses.

Select the SMTP tab to begin configuring your mailbox.

Configure SMTP Settings

Complete the required fields using the settings provided by your email provider.

Email Address

Enter the email address that will be used to send campaign emails.

SMTP Host

Enter the outgoing mail server provided by your email provider.

SMTP Encryption

Select the encryption method supported by your provider. Common options include STARTTLS and SSL.

Username
